The organisers have put together a list of the restrictions currently in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It must be emphasised that if there are differences between the information on this page and the information on the formal government web-page, the information from the government is correct.
The short list for entering Iceland are:
- Pre-registration is mandatory (https://visit.covid.is/registration)
- Present an approved vaccination certificate or a certificate of previous infection at the border. A certificate is valid when 14 days have passed from the second dose (or 14 days from Janssen/Johnson & Johnson dose).
- From 1-Jul-2021 a valid PCR test results which is less than 72 hours old at boarding your flight to Iceland is not needed.
- When a certificate is not valid the individual needs to show a negative PCR test on boarding the plane, undergo a PCR test at the airport, quarantine for 5 days and undergo another PCR test after that period.
- It is recommended that you install the Rakning C-19 track and trace app.
Within Iceland there are no restrictions to number of persons coming together nor how long restaurants and bars are open. …so that is back to normal
