The eruption seems to be slowly getting smaller. The length of the fissure is now around 2.4km whereas it was nearly 4km at its longest and the flow of lava has stabilised.

Although the eruption is a serious interruption into the daily lives of everyone around it, one can but smile a little when photographers catch a surreal image.
